Facility
Phase (IV) saw the creation of modern purpose built
facilities for Newry Shopmobility, who provide wheelchairs
and battery powered scooters to shoppers. Shopmobility
can be contacted on 028 302 56062 where visitors can
pre-book equipment.
The Buttercrane offers a
total of 380 carpark spaces for people with disabilities.
These spaces are dispersed throughout the multi-storey
carpark and surface carparks, generally conveniently
located close to entrance doors and lifts. In addition
public toilets with disabled access and facilities are
provided.
A total of nine
parent and child carpark spaces are also provided to
make the shopping trip easier for parents with toddlers
and young children. Specialist toilet facilities are
also provided with a mother's room to enable mothers
to feed and change baby. In addition, a unique parent
and child toilet has been provided which allows parents
to take their son or daughter to a private purpose built
facility.
